Requisitos

The selection criteria for assigning places are:

  • Ph. D., master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related quantitative discipline
  • Capability to identify analytical and forecasting models for provided cases
  • Experience in common coding languages like: e.g. SQL, JavaScript, Swift, Python or R, Spark, Rust, etc.
  • Experience in implementing machine learning solutions in AWS or Azure Hadoop
  • Passion for learning, facing complex data issues, programming challenges and critical deadlines
  • An advances level of English (C1 minimum)
  • A letter of motivation and a current CV in English


The employment relationship can only be entered into if a work permit and VISA (for non-EU-citizen) are granted by the (German) authorities.

This scholarship program offers for 10 outstanding profiles from all around the world the chance to qualify for a full-time, paid, 6-month scholarship at Santander Germany for digital top-talents.


The Santander Digitalization Top-Talent Program offers a 6 month work experience for high-potential graduates in our headquater in Mönchengladbach, Germany. The program is designed for highly motivated individuals with a curious mind, who are willing to develop their career very fast by facing various challenges. They will participate in a structured development program that brings together the best graduates from technical faculties, mostly focused on information systems and data science. The beneficiaries will obtain the foundations and fundamentals of data science and a practical experience in information and data visualization in order to make the best decisions in their day-to-day businesses.


All 10 scholarship grantees will participate in HR interviews for a permanent job position at Santander Germany. A total of 5 scholarship grantees will be given the chance to join the Santander Germany team permanently.


Being part of an inspiring team of experts in different areas as Digital Transformation, Technology, Database Marketing and Santander Consumer Technology Services the scholars will work at the leading edge of the banking revolution by taking new and innovative ideas from pilot to commercially viable reality by showing Data science, data engineering and visual analytics skills.

During this scholarship the participants will develop a set of knowledge and experiences on the digital technologies required in any young professional career and with a wide range of levels and roles. Participants will foster and improve their Data science, data engineering and visual analytics skillset.


All 10 scholarships require an advanced English level (C1) as business communication will be held in English and German. Applicants need to be postgraduates with a Ph.D., master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related quantitative discipline. Furthermore the scholarship requires experience in common coding languages like SQL, JavaScrip, Swift, Phython or R, Spark, Rust, etc. Please upload a letter of motivition and CV with your application within the Becas platform.


Your professional challenges will consist of:

  • Communicate and discuss complex analytical and technical concepts to a business audience
  • Support the development of productive solutions together with product development, data engineers and data architects.
  • Discuss ideas with the business units and proof the feasibility of pilot projects, solving exciting problems to drive improvements to web traffic, conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Deliver on web goals and targets by leveraging a vast array of web data, analyzing customer behavior and developing new and innovative customers ‘analytics methods.
  • Develop algorithms for data preparation, feature extraction, data analytics and machine learning.

Información Adicional:

This scholarship includes a monthly salary of 3.500 €. In addition, Santander covers the cost for ticket to and from Germany for this 6-month scholarship. A relocation service will support the granted scholars during all administrative processes (work permit, VISA, health insurance, etc.). The relocation service will support scholars in search for an apartment.

Instrucciones

The following things are only needed, if you're awarded with the scholarship:


  • Passport copy in colour
  • Copies of previous stays and entry visas to Germany (tabular list of stays, if applicable)
  • Curriculum vitae in German or English
  • Certified translation of diploma certificate and copy of original 
  • Address in home country
  • Power of attorney (will be provided by the relocation service)
  • Privacy policy (will be provided by the relocation service)

The employment relationship can only be entered into, if a work permit and VISA (for non-EU-citizen) are granted by the (German) authorities. The required documents are only needed, if you're awarded with a scholarship. In order to get a valid working contract we need the above things from you as fast as possible.
