An annual symposium of ShanghaiTech School of Life Science and Technology starting from 2013, Frontier of Genome Engineering (FoGE 2018) will be held 19-20 October, 2018. Featuring a different topic in life science each year, the symposiums have covered topics of metabolism, neuroscience, cancer, cell biology, genomics and genomes. The FoGE 2018 will focus on technology, mechanism, application and translation of genome engineering, and cover various topics, including novel genome engineering tools and therapeutic applications, epigenome engineering, genetic screening, DNA repair, genome stability, etc. The meeting will bring together some of the most highly regarded genome engineering scientists from home and abroad in several sessions. Many scientists from Santander Universities' network did pioneering works in these fields, and we are now inviting them to join this symposium. Overall, about 300 attendees from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and oversea countries will attend the meeting. It will be a significant occasion for scientists from Santander Universities' network and other international participants to interact and share their research breakthroughs. The meeting will inspire the participants with the rapidly developing genome engineering technology and may result in translational program in diagnosis and gene therapy.
