Requisitos

Students are eligible for this award if they meet the following criteria:

  1. UK or EU undergraduate student AND
  2. Travelling on the Global Experiences 'Experience Malaysia with Sunway University' trip AND
  3. Not in receipt of any other funding from the Global Experiences office during this financial year (1 August 2019 – 31 July 2020) AND
  4. Meet at least two of the widening participation criteria from this list:
  • I receive a Lancaster Bursary
  • I am from a neighbourhood where higher education participation is low (defined as your home postcode being ‘POLAR4 quintile 1 or quintile 2’) You can check your postcode eligibility using this link.
  • I am the first generation of my family to attend university
  • I am Black, Asian or from a minority ethnic group (including Traveller communities)
  • I have a disability (including Autism or Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia )
  • I have a long term physical or mental health condition
  • I am a care leaver or estranged from my family
  • I am a mature student (over 21 on first entry to university for undergraduate study)
  • I have caring responsibilities
  • At school I was entitled to free school meals or your school/college received a pupil premium for you
  • I am a refugee or asylum seeker
  • I am from a military family


When making your application, please indicate which of the widening participation criteria you meet. Please also include your postcode if you are from a neighborhood where higher education participation is defined as low.


By completing this application form, you are consenting to Global Experiences accessing any relevant personal data held by Lancaster University that is required for the assessment of your application for financial assistance.

Undergraduate Lancaster University students who are travelling on the Global Experiences Experience Malaysia with Sunway University trip and meet the stated criteria are invited to apply for a Santander Travel Award.

Applicants will be required to upload a short statement of up to 500 words saying why they would benefit from the Santander Scholarship. Priority will be given to students with limited international experience.


A panel of Global Experiences staff will select the scholarship recipient who, in their opinion, shows that they have the most to gain from the scholarship on offer.


Instrucciones

Please apply for your chosen Global Experiences trip as soon as possible, and by no later than 15 January 2020.


Any scholarship awarded will be deducted from your total amount due to Global Experiences, and will be reflected in the invoice sent to you. If you have already received an invoice for your trip a credit note for the scholarship amount will be sent to successful applicants you shortly after the scholarship is confirmed.
