At Banco Santander we are concerned about the health of all the beneficiaries of all our Santander Scholarship programs called year after year. Due to the international crisis caused by the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and with the uncertainty of how long it will last and how it will affect the possibility of traveling to other countries, we have decided to cancel the 2020 edition of the Santander Summer Experience Programme at Imperial College London.

Requisitos

The program is open to students who are currently enrolled in the final two years of their undergraduate studies, or who have graduated within three years from the date of the Program call.

Participants must be over the age of 18.


English Language Proficiency

All classes are taught and assessed in English. All applicants must have studied English to at least level C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR) or equivalent. It is not necessary to present an English proficiency certificate.

The program is open to students who are currently enrolled in the final two years of their undergraduate studies, or who have graduated within three years from the date of the Programme call.

The aim of the programme is to enable students to explore some of the current global challenges in climate change, global health and cyber security and propose an innovative business idea (of a product or service) that could tackle one of the areas. In addition to the global challenges, students gain an insight into data science, hear latest advances in robotics and meet some of our entrepreneurs who are driving progress by launching their innovations into the commercial world.


Santander Summer Experience: World Challenges and Innovation offers 30 scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students from the following countries: Spain, Portugal, UK, Poland, Germany, US, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Perú & Puerto Rico.


Dates

Programme begins: Monday, 7th September, 2020

Programme ends: Friday, 18th September, 2020


Program

The students will participate in workshops and activities like team building, creative and design thinking, presentation, negotiation and influencing, leadership and cultural insights and development skills in awareness of global challenges, leadership, designing a business model canvas and marketing strategy.


Application process

We invite you to apply for the programme by completing the questionnaire on the platform. The first phase of the application window closes on May, 4 - 2020. Highly qualified applicants will be invited to move onto the second round of the application process. They will received a notification via email confirming they have been selected for second phase with detailed information about documentation required. During the second round, applicants will be ask to upload required documents. All documents must be provided in English.


Benefits

The Santander Summer Experience: World Challenges and Innovation fee includes all tuition fees, workshops, project work, relevant visits, social activities with student's ambassadors, welcome lunch, farewell activity, programme supporting material, wifi access, Imperial College Certificate of Attendance, Imperial College halls of residence accommodation and lunch vouchers.

Please note the scholarship does not include:

  • travel,
  • visa applicaiton fee,
  • evening meals,
  • personal expenditure and
  • living expenses.


Imperial college can provide a visa support letter for all successful scholarship candidates accepted onto the Programme in support of their short-term study visa, if required.
