Información General

Descripción de la beca:

The University of Huddersfield, and it’s China Office, support a number of disadvantaged primary school children in a remote area of the Chinese countryside. Each year we raise funds to support the children and a number of lucky students get to travel to China to hand over the donation and meet with the students there.

The scholarships are open to all full-time University of Huddersfield students, on any course and at any level. The trip is likely to take place around Easter 2020 and will be between five and seven days. You will need a valid passport, but a Santander Universities scholarship will pay for a travel visa for China as well as all of your flights, accommodation and main meals.

It will be an arduous trip, with early morning starts, late finishes and many hours spent in the air, so be prepared to work hard, be resilient and be a good ambassador for the University of Huddersfield.

Duración de la beca: February 2020 enrollment (February 2020 to April 2020)

Información Adicional:

It is easy to think of China as a rich and fast-developing economy. But many people in remote rural areas, particularly away from the big cities in the East, do not see that.

In many cases, jobs are scarce and parents have to leave to find work in the big cities.

The China Children and China Children and Teenagers’ Fund supports children in disadvantaged positions, helping them with access to education and everyday needs.
